IT Trainer Equals Artist

IT training professionals are critical in business production. As the world becomes more and more computer technology dependent, so do businesses, if they wish to compete. However, this presents a problem. Information technology is constantly and rapidly evolving creating huge amounts of information that is often too much and unnecessary for employees to comprehend. IT trainers must be able to filter out what information is critical for employees to learn as not to waste company resources. Therefore, an IT trainer is an artist of computer science rather than a representative of computer science.

  1. I agree with two statements. One, that businesses do depend on IT to succeed and two, information technology is constantly and rapidly evolving. I also agree that it is a challenge trying to determine what is critical and unnecessary for an employee to learn. In today's society, employers are assuming that employees possess some basic computer skills. It's shocking, but many people still are not computer literate. This is why a needs analysis, more specifically a task analysis and an organizational analysis is so important.

  2. I totally agree with you Pheris. Like many other fields or professions, IT can be considered art on many levels. There are many things in IT that a regular person may not comprehend or understand its importance. IT is always growing and there are always new possibilities which demonstrates its beauty.
